The She from the Star Action Taimanin event introduces Maya Cordelia, a mysterious armored knight who becomes stranded in the world of the Taimanin. Her arrival begins with a strange phenomenon in deep space and eventually leads to a dangerous dimensional crisis involving demonic beasts.
The Prison Universe and Maya Cordelia
The story begins by introducing the background of the Prison Universe, including the regions of Neo Terra and New Solar. Far from the world of the Taimanin, Maya Cordelia has completed every armament test for the Armored Knight Zechs.
After finishing the exhausting tests, Maya requests permission to return to the Battleship Tristan. While waiting for her return order, she gazes into the darkness of space. Stars glitter in the distance as pieces of debris drift through the void.
Then something unusual appears.
Maya encounters a strange phenomenon known as Space Fog. She attempts to scan the phenomenon, but the fog suddenly expands and surrounds her. Within the mysterious cloud, dozens of enormous creatures begin swimming through outer space. They resemble strange fish or squid and measure around three meters in length.
Outside the ship, however, the Space Fog suddenly disappears.
Maya has no idea that this strange encounter will eventually connect her world to the Taimanin’s dimension.
The Taimanin Task Force Investigates
Meanwhile, the Taimanin Task Force receives a request from Section Three to investigate a small city recently affected by an earthquake. The original assignment appears simple. The team must survey the area and locate the earthquake’s epicenter to determine the extent of the damage.
However, the situation quickly becomes much more dangerous.
Demonic beasts begin appearing throughout the city. Instead of simply investigating the earthquake, the Taimanin Task Force finds itself fighting one creature after another.
Among those involved are Uehara Shikanosuke, Akiyama Rinko, Emily Simmons, Aishu Hebiko, and Fuuma Kotaro.
After defeating several of the creatures, the team uses Elec Art to track their origin. During the investigation, Fuuma discovers someone who appears to have been caught up in the incident.
At first, he believes he is protecting an ordinary civilian.
That assumption quickly changes.
A Stranger From the Future
The mysterious woman introduces herself as Maya Cordelia. However, her explanation leaves the Taimanin confused. Maya claims that she comes from a far-future realm, making her story difficult for the team to understand.
The situation becomes even stranger when more demonic beasts appear.
Maya attempts to use a transmitter to contact the Battleship Tristan and return to her own world. Emily immediately becomes fascinated by the unfamiliar technology. Her curiosity gets the better of her, but Kotaro eventually returns the device to Maya.
The encounter leaves the group wondering where Maya actually came from.
Shikanosuke and Hebiko even begin discussing the possibilities. Is Maya truly from their future, or did she arrive from an entirely different parallel world?
The Mystery of Space-Time Quakes
The group eventually reaches an area where space itself appears distorted. Because of the dimensional disturbance, Maya cannot establish a connection with the Zechs unit.
Then the portal begins shaking violently.
Demonic beasts emerge through the opening, but Kotaro notices something important. The gate does not appear to connect to the Demon Realm. Instead, it seems to lead somewhere completely different.
Maya explains that Space Fog has been theorized as the remains of destroyed dimensions. Under certain circumstances, these remnants can function as gateways between different worlds.
Emily develops another possible explanation. She believes the dimensional distortion created by the Space Fog may have collided with a dimension connected to the Demon Realm. That collision could have created the portal and triggered the earthquake.
The appearance of the demonic beasts may have been another consequence of this dimensional collision.
Rinko also realizes that the terminology used by the Taimanin might not accurately describe what they are witnessing. Calling the creatures “demonic beasts” or the openings “Demon Realm gates” may simply be the closest language they currently have for something they do not fully understand.
Fuuma points out an important detail. At the end of the day, the Demon Realm itself is another dimension.
That realization creates a frightening possibility.
Shikanosuke begins to wonder whether the Demon Realm could now be connected to Maya’s world.
Maya Becomes Stranded
More demonic beasts continue appearing, even after Maya manages to establish contact with her ship. Unfortunately, the situation quickly spirals out of control.
The transmitter begins attracting more and more creatures. The demons become increasingly frenzied as they follow the signal.
Maya realizes that continuing to use the device could put everyone in greater danger. She asks Fuuma and the others to protect her while she attempts something much more drastic.
Maya sends the transmitter directly into the dimensional portal.
The effect is immediate.
The rampaging demonic beasts suddenly stop attacking. Instead, they turn toward the portal and begin following the source of the signal.
Then the portal expands violently.
The enormous dimensional opening grows large enough to swallow the giant robot and the Armored Cavalry. Moments later, the portal contracts and disappears, leaving nothing behind except scattered rubble.
Maya explains that Space Fog normally closes very quickly. She had already suspected that the portal was reaching the end of its existence.
The She from the Star Ending
Following the incident, researchers begin studying the strange disaster. They eventually give the phenomenon a new name: Space-Time Quake.
The term describes the unusual dimensional disturbances that can create portals between different worlds, allowing dangerous creatures to invade through them.
Maya herself becomes living proof that these dimensional disasters can connect distant realms.
Since she is now stranded in this world, the Taimanin decide to place her under their protection.
Although Maya has lost her way home, she is no longer completely alone.
Fuuma also promises to pass along any new information concerning future Space-Time Quakes. If another dimensional disturbance appears, Maya will be among the first people to know.
The She from the Star Action Taimanin event therefore ends with Maya Cordelia stranded in an unfamiliar world, while the Taimanin face the possibility that Space-Time Quakes could open the door to even more dangerous dimensions in the future.
