Oboro Hates Summer Vacation
The Oboro Hates Summer event in Action Taimanin puts one of Nomad’s most dangerous members in an unusually frustrating situation. While the rest of the Oboro Ninja Troops and Nomad prepare for a relaxing summer vacation, Oboro has absolutely no interest in celebrating.
The problem is simple. Oboro is a vampire, and spending a sunny day at the beach is not exactly an ideal vacation for someone who cannot safely enjoy the sunlight.
As everyone prepares to leave Yomihara, Oboro becomes increasingly irritated. Lina, completely unaware of how much the situation bothers her, compliments Oboro for staying behind and sacrificing her own vacation for everyone else’s sake. Lina even promises to bring Oboro a souvenir.
Unfortunately, Oboro does not appreciate the gesture.
Before Lina can suffer the consequences of her innocent comment, Ingrid arrives and takes her away.
Oboro’s Summer Frustration
Left alone, Oboro eventually checks herself out while wearing a swimsuit. Instead of making her feel better, however, the sight only reminds her of everything she is missing.
She cannot join the others at the beach. She cannot enjoy the sunlight. While her comrades are relaxing, Oboro remains stuck behind in Yomihara.
Things become even worse when she watches recordings of the other Nomad members enjoying their vacation. Their cheerful moments only fuel her anger.
Oboro decides that she will get her revenge.
Days later, Lina, Ingrid, and Dolores arrive at the beach. Lina remembers that she promised to bring Oboro a present, so she prepares to search for the perfect souvenir. Ingrid warns her not to cause the kind of trouble that happened during their previous vacation.
Meanwhile, back in Yomihara, Oboro sits with her legs crossed and stares angrily at a massive monitor.
Her subordinates can only watch in silence.
They have already given up their own summer vacation to remain with Oboro, and judging by her growing frustration, their sacrifice has not improved her mood.
Oboro’s Revenge Begins
Oboro decides that simply watching everyone enjoy themselves is not enough. She begins taking steps to ruin their vacation.
Some of her men receive orders to interfere with Lina. Unfortunately for them, the plan does not go very well. Lina quickly defeats the attackers, leaving Oboro’s troops battered and beaten.
Oboro then escalates her plan.
Zombies are released at the resort.
The vacation quickly turns into another battle, forcing Lina and Ingrid to investigate the strange attack. They begin searching for the source of the zombies and eventually discover a hidden Nomad base inside a cave.
At first, they suspect that someone is deliberately creating trouble to damage Nomad’s reputation. The discovery leads them directly to several members of Oboro’s troop and a scientist responsible for the operation.
Ingrid and Lina confront the group and capture them.
The truth soon comes to light.
Oboro is behind the entire scheme.
Ingrid Confronts Oboro
After learning about Oboro’s involvement, Ingrid returns to Yomihara to confront her.
The two eventually meet in an alley, where Ingrid demands an explanation. Oboro is still wearing the swimsuit she had chosen for her would-be vacation, making the entire situation even more absurd.
At first, Oboro refuses to explain herself.
The argument eventually turns into a fight. Ingrid defeats Oboro and forces her to reveal the truth behind the zombie incident.
Oboro admits that her frustration over missing the summer vacation pushed her toward revenge.
However, Ingrid chooses not to punish her.
Rather than treating Oboro harshly, Ingrid understands at least some of the frustration that motivated her actions. The incident is therefore allowed to end without a severe punishment.
Oboro’s Revenge Becomes a Success
Ironically, the story does not end with Oboro’s plan becoming a complete failure.
Some time after the zombie incident at the resort, a strange rumor begins spreading throughout the underworld.
The new zombie creatures created by Oboro are apparently much more powerful than the existing models.
Oboro had poured an enormous amount of effort into developing them, even though she sacrificed her own summer vacation in the process. Her research unexpectedly produces excellent results.
The improved zombie models become extremely popular.
Sales begin skyrocketing.
Oboro’s work has become a major success.
Yet there is one small problem.
When people congratulate Oboro on the success of her new zombie models, she looks genuinely annoyed rather than proud.
Her efforts may have created a highly successful product, but that does not change the fact that she missed out on the summer vacation she wanted in the first place.
Oboro Hates Summer Ending
The Oboro Hates Summer story turns Oboro’s frustration into a chaotic summer adventure filled with revenge, zombies, and an unexpected business success.
What begins as simple irritation over missing a beach vacation eventually develops into a scheme involving Nomad troops, a hidden laboratory, and a new generation of powerful zombie creatures.
Ironically, Oboro manages to turn her anger into something profitable.
Her zombie research becomes a major success, while the rest of Nomad gets to enjoy their vacation. For Oboro, however, the situation remains frustrating.
She wanted a summer vacation.
Instead, she got zombies, battles, and a booming business.
That is hardly the relaxing summer she had in mind.
