The Fuuma Clan’s Autumn Harvest Tradition
Fuuma Harvest Festival! Autumn Gourmet Mission in Action Taimanin–begins as the weather settles and autumn arrives in Gosha. Deep in the mountains, the Fuuma clan has a training area where members practice their Ninja Arts. However, this time, the mountain becomes the setting for something much more relaxing.
Fuuma Tokiko decides that it is time to bring back an old family tradition.
In previous years, the Fuuma clan would gather herbs, mushrooms, and other ingredients during the autumn season. Unfortunately, the clan became too busy with other responsibilities, and the tradition gradually disappeared.
Tokiko suggests bringing it back.
Fuuma Kotaro agrees, turning the harvest into a small family gathering and gourmet mission. Uehara Shikanosuke and Aishu Hebiko join the activity, along with several additional guests, including Su, Shirayuki, and Eleonor.
Everyone prepares to head into the mountains and collect ingredients for Tokiko’s cooking.
An Unusual Discovery in the Mountains
The peaceful harvest begins normally, but the group soon notices something strange.
Several wild plants are growing throughout the area that should not naturally exist in Gosha. Shizuka becomes particularly interested in the unusual vegetation and suggests investigating the plants further.
For the moment, however, the group continues collecting ingredients.
They successfully find several useful plants and mushrooms, including shiitake mushrooms. The harvest is going well until Shikanosuke spots something much larger.
A bear appears.
The group quickly prepares their Ninja Beasts to deal with the unexpected animal encounter. The situation becomes even more suspicious when Shizuka discovers a strange plant that appears capable of increasing aggression in animals.
She begins wondering whether the plant is naturally occurring or whether someone deliberately introduced it into the mountain.
The Mystery Behind the Illegal Plants
Kotaro becomes increasingly annoyed as the investigation continues. Tokiko is waiting for the ingredients needed to prepare the group’s meal, so he wants to finish the search quickly.
If someone has been secretly planting dangerous vegetation on Fuuma clan land, Kotaro wants to know who is responsible.
Shizuka soon discovers a major clue.
She spots Hanasaki Yozora trespassing in the area.
Yozora has been secretly cultivating illegal plants that are not native to Gosha. When confronted, she becomes worried about the consequences. She fears that she could be sued or lose her job because of what she has been doing.
Yozora eventually explains how she discovered the location.
She claims that Minasaki and Lilim told her about the area.
The mystery becomes even stranger.
Minasaki and Lilim’s Plant Business
The investigation leads back to Minasaki and Lilim. The two had apparently been obtaining unusual plants from Yozora.
When questioned about their activities, they explain that they planned to sell the rare plants in Yomihara.
However, they do not fully understand why certain delinquents are interested in buying them. The plants do not even taste particularly good, making the entire business seem rather strange.
Kotaro overhears the conversation.
Once Minasaki and Lilim realize that Kotaro knows what they have been doing, they attempt to escape. Unfortunately for them, the Fuuma clan leader is not about to let them simply run away.
The pair are caught and questioned about the situation.
The Mystery of the Missing Signs
The investigation reveals another important detail.
Someone had removed the signs around the area and made it appear that collecting herbs and plants was completely acceptable.
The culprit turns out to be a small group of retired Taimanin.
These former warriors had been collecting herbs in the mountains, but their activities had crossed the line into illegal behavior. When the group encounters the investigation team, they also attempt to escape.
Their timing could not be worse.
The retired Taimanin run directly into Fuuma Amane, Anemone, Yufie, and Sofie.
The four quickly defeat them, ending their attempt to flee.
Kotaro arrives shortly afterward and sees the situation for himself.
Kotaro Makes a Deal
Instead of simply punishing everyone involved, Kotaro decides to find a practical solution.
The retired Taimanin explain their situation, and Kotaro ultimately agrees to let them continue gathering herbs, but only under official permission and proper supervision.
This arrangement allows them to continue collecting the ingredients they need without secretly trespassing on Fuuma clan territory.
The incident also brings the strange plant operation to an end.
What started as a simple autumn harvest has uncovered illegal cultivation, suspicious plant trading, trespassing, and a group of retired Taimanin who were gathering herbs without permission.
The Autumn Gourmet Mission Comes to an End
After everything is finally resolved, the group returns to the Fuuma Estate.
The day’s adventure ends on a much more peaceful note.
With the ingredients collected and the mystery solved, everyone can finally enjoy the food Tokiko prepared.
The Fuuma Harvest Festival! Autumn Gourmet Mission event combines the peaceful atmosphere of an autumn harvest with the humor and unexpected trouble that often follows the Fuuma clan.
What begins as an attempt to revive an old family tradition quickly becomes an investigation into strange plants and illegal harvesting. Kotaro, Shizuka, Shikanosuke, Hebiko, and the others uncover the truth while dealing with bears, suspicious vegetation, plant smugglers, and retired Taimanin.
In the end, Kotaro chooses cooperation over unnecessary punishment and establishes a proper way for the retired Taimanin to gather herbs.
Most importantly, the harvest succeeds.
The group returns to the Fuuma Estate, sits down together, and finally enjoys the autumn feast that started the entire adventure.
