Ingrid Gets Dragged Into a Noble Party
That Time I, the Keyboard Warrior Got Dragged into a Noble Party from Action Taimanin begins with Ingrid receiving an invitation to an important social gathering in Yomihara. She is far from excited about attending. Unfortunately for Ingrid, refusing the invitation is not an easy option.
The host recently moved from the Demon Realm to Yomihara. As a newcomer among the city’s high society, he wants to show his appreciation to Ingrid for helping him establish himself in his new home. The invitation also serves as a gesture of gratitude toward both Ingrid’s family and Dolores’s family.
Ingrid notices Dolores nearby and immediately realizes that she is trying to avoid the conversation. Dolores initially refuses to attend the gathering. Ingrid tries to convince her otherwise, even though Ingrid herself has little interest in spending the evening at a noble party.
After some persuasion, Dolores finally agrees to attend.
An Awkward Night Among Nobles
When the night of the party arrives, Ingrid, Dolores, and Alectra find themselves surrounded by endless conversations and formal social interactions. The atmosphere may look elegant, but Dolores is clearly uncomfortable with the attention.
At one point, Alectra helps Dolores get away from the crowd.
During the confusion, Dolores accidentally trips. A lesser noble reaches out and catches her by the waist. Instead of simply helping her, however, he begins flirting with her.
Dolores ignores his advances.
The noble becomes offended, and a small confrontation quickly develops.
Ingrid and the host step in before the situation can become worse. They pull the low-ranking noble away and thank Dolores for her patience. Although the incident is resolved, the atmosphere becomes increasingly tense as the party continues.
Dolores Disappears From the Party
Later in the evening, Dolores decides to look for the bathroom. Alectra leaves her alone for the moment, but she notices something suspicious.
An Inferno Demon security member appears to be following Dolores.
Alectra immediately becomes concerned and leaves to investigate.
Meanwhile, Ingrid remains inside the main hall and listens to the host’s speech. Everything appears normal for a brief moment.
Then the alarm suddenly sounds.
The doors of the hall are sealed as shutters drop into place. Before the guests can understand what is happening, drones begin firing into the air.
Ingrid reacts immediately.
She takes down the drones before they can cause serious damage. Most of the guests escape with only minor injuries, but Ingrid realizes that this is not a normal security failure.
She suspects that someone has launched a sophisticated hacker attack.
Her biggest concern is no longer the party.
Dolores and Alectra are both outside the sealed room.
Dolores and Alectra Are Captured
Elsewhere, Dolores wakes up and discovers that she and Alectra have been captured.
Alectra has suffered serious injuries, although she remains determined to fight. Her condition makes it difficult for her to defend herself, leaving Dolores to deal with their captor.
The woman responsible is Aegle.
Her appearance brings an old conflict back into Dolores’s life.
Several years earlier, Dolores had destroyed Aegle’s organization. The group had been broken apart, and Dolores eventually moved on without giving the matter much thought.
Aegle never forgot.
She has spent years carrying her anger and preparing for revenge. Dolores, meanwhile, has almost completely forgotten about her former enemy.
At first, Dolores cannot even remember exactly who Aegle is.
Then pieces of the past begin returning.
Aegle’s Revenge
Aegle is furious that Dolores destroyed everything she had built. Her hatred has grown over the years, and she finally sees the noble party as the perfect opportunity to strike.
Alectra tries to fight despite her injuries, but she is unable to defeat Aegle.
Aegle mocks her weakened condition.
Dolores refuses to let her continue.
She defends Alectra and points out that Alectra spent the entire party protecting her. Despite everything that has happened, Dolores recognizes the loyalty Alectra has shown.
The confrontation reaches its climax when Ingrid finally arrives.
With Ingrid present, the situation turns in their favor. However, instead of simply defeating Aegle herself, Ingrid gives Alectra the opportunity to finish the fight.
Alectra’s own ability activates, giving her the strength she needs.
The Final Battle With Aegle
Alectra confronts Aegle despite her injuries. The battle gives her a chance to prove that she is more than capable of protecting herself and Dolores.
Aegle ultimately manages to escape, but her revenge plot fails.
The noble party returns to normal, and the immediate threat is over.
Although Aegle remains at large, her attempt to destroy Dolores has been stopped. More importantly, the incident strengthens the bond between Dolores and Alectra.
Alectra’s actions throughout the night have not gone unnoticed.
Alectra Wants More Missions
After the incident, Alectra makes it clear that she wants to take on more missions in the future.
Her determination stands out after everything she endured during the party. She was injured, captured, and forced into a dangerous confrontation, yet she still wants another opportunity to prove herself.
That Time I, the Keyboard Warrior Got Dragged into a Noble Party turns what begins as an uncomfortable social obligation into a dangerous mission involving hackers, drones, an old enemy, and a revenge plot.
Ingrid never wanted to attend the noble gathering in the first place. Dolores would have preferred to stay away as well. Yet their forced appearance eventually uncovers a threat from the past.
The party may have started with polite conversations and noble etiquette, but it ends with Aegle’s revenge attempt exposed and Alectra ready for her next mission.
