Aster Receives an Urgent Assignment
In My Own Neko Girl Harem Gameplay Part 1, Aster receives an urgent summons from the Council. As an experienced Arcane Investigator, he expects an important case when he arrives at the meeting room with his companion. However, the situation turns out to be more serious than he initially imagined.
Aster’s companion, Lily, is a magical spirit who remains invisible to ordinary people. Although she accompanies him, the guards and Council representatives cannot see her. Once Aster enters the room, the Council immediately explains the crisis facing the kingdom.
Magical crystals are essential to the country’s survival. They power defensive barriers, provide lighting, support transportation, and maintain other important systems. Unfortunately, crystal shipments have mysteriously stopped. If the supply does not return soon, the kingdom’s cities could become vulnerable to dangerous monsters.
The Council assigns Aster to investigate the first mine and discover what happened. He must examine the situation, follow every available lead, and report his findings. Time is running out, so the investigation cannot wait.
Aster Must Find His Own Companion
Unlike his previous assignments, this mission requires Aster to travel a considerable distance to reach the mining area. Unfortunately, the Council cannot provide additional agents because its forces must protect the cities from potential monster attacks.
Fortunately, the Council promises to supply whatever resources Aster needs. Money will not be a problem, but he still faces one important challenge: finding someone who can protect him during the journey.
Lily understands Aster’s strengths and weaknesses. Although he is powerful and enjoys adventure, his hand-to-hand combat skills are limited. Therefore, recruiting a capable assistant becomes his first priority before he begins the expedition.
The Catgirl Wanted Advertisement
Aster decides to post a job advertisement on the bulletin board in the town square. His message is simple: Catgirl Wanted. He hopes to find a suitable companion who can assist with the investigation and defend him against unexpected threats.
Surprisingly, someone responds within an hour. The applicant arranges to meet Aster at a local tavern the following morning.
When Aster arrives, he finds a cat-girl already waiting for him. She introduces herself as Naga, an energetic and rebellious young woman with an outspoken personality. During their conversation, Aster learns more about her abilities and decides that she fits the position.
Unfortunately, Naga is the only applicant who answers his advertisement. Still, she appears capable enough for the expedition, and Aster has little reason to delay his investigation.
Meanwhile, Lily notices something unusual about Naga. The closer Naga gets to Aster, the more she seems affected by his mysterious magic. Her growing attraction adds an unexpected complication to their future partnership.
Meeting Naga, the Rebellious Cat-Girl
Naga immediately stands out because of her confident attitude and playful personality. She is not the type to follow every instruction without question. Instead, she enjoys teasing Aster and challenging his authority whenever she gets the chance.
After their interview, Aster hires Naga on the spot. The two leave the tavern and head to his home to prepare for the upcoming journey.
Naga is surprised by the size of Aster’s house. He explains that he inherited the property from his former mentor. Before the expedition begins, Aster establishes a few simple household rules. Naga must keep her equipment ready, inform him before leaving, and help with the household chores while the investigation continues.
These arrangements introduce a new dynamic between the investigator and his assistant. They must learn to work together while adjusting to each other’s personalities.
Naga’s Maid Uniform and Their First Private Encounter
After arriving home, Aster gives Naga a maid uniform and claims that its magical properties provide protection. However, Naga quickly suspects that his explanation is not entirely genuine. She realizes that the uniform may have more to do with his personal preferences than any practical need.
Their conversation becomes increasingly playful as Naga teases Aster about his unusual request. When he suggests that she take a shower before they prepare for the expedition, she offers to let him join her.
This private encounter adds an adult-oriented romantic element to the opening chapter. Naga’s confident behavior contrasts with Aster’s growing attraction, while the mysterious effects of his magic introduce another layer to their relationship.
Their first intimate interaction also establishes the chemistry between the two characters. By the end of the encounter, Naga appears eager to spend more time with Aster. This development suggests that their partnership may become more complicated as the investigation progresses.

The opening chapter of My Own Neko Girl Harem introduces the main conflict while establishing Aster’s relationship with his first cat-girl assistant. The missing magical crystals provide a clear objective, and Lily’s unusual abilities offer support as the investigation begins.

Furthermore, the household scenes introduce the characters’ personal dynamics before they begin their journey.
