At one point, Diana leaned closer, her hand brushing his thigh in a way that made it clear she enjoyed testing his composure. She whispered compliments, laughed softly, and left him guessing what was real and what was a game.
Before he left, she slipped him a small piece of information — something about a hotel that caught his curiosity. “You’ll find what you’re looking for there,” she said, her voice like velvet. As he stepped back into the night, the city lights reflected in his eyes — and Diana’s touch still lingered in his thoughts.
